Beginning in the fall of 2016, Fitchburg State is offering a streamlined pathway for military trained licensed practical nurses to enter into a bridge program and obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in as little as seven semesters! Each application will be reviewed and credit for military training will be awarded on an individual basis depending on experience. This program specifically developed for veterans will bring you in line with your civilian counterparts. Additionally the program seeks to fill the expected shortage of nurses. Veterans with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing will be positioned for employment in many different clinical settings, including:

  • VA medical centers
  • occupational health centers
  • acute care facilities
  • home health and hospice facilities

Fitchburg State is committed to our veterans to support their preparation to care for veterans, service members and their families.
